Bond's boat was a 15ft Glastron GT-150 powered by an Evinrude Starflite 135hp outboard engine. Rather larger than the rated maximum of 85hp, there was a reason for that extra power and speed, not to mention one or two other non-standard upgrades.

1971 saw 3 GTs. Two were all new: the GT-160 and GT-150. The GT-143 Jetflite was the V-143 Jetflite given the GT name. The Jetflite had been around since 1961. All new GT-150 above Top catalog photo: new '71 GT-160 would have a 5 year run ('71-'75) and remain virtually unchanged for those years.

The boat making second jump (the boat following the GT-150) did not break or tie the record 110' set by the GT-150. Of the 26 boats used, 17 were damaged (many were GT-150s). Three of the Glastron CV-19s were damaged in one day while filming the lawn skidding wedding scene (kept hitting trees). Estimated there were 6 CV-19s used in the filming.
